Are your diabetic education classes really free and why?
Yes, our diabetic education classes are free. WE DO NOT BILL YOUR INSURANCE. The Diabetes Store provides these classes for free because we believe that a better understanding of diabetes promotes self management. When the participants leave the class they realize that there are things they can do to prevent the complications related to this disease and will be able to live a long and healthy life.

What do I need to do if I want to attend one of your Diabetes Survival Skills Classes?
If you are interested in attending one of your free classes. All you have to do is take a look at the class schedule for the location you are interested in attending. If you are interested in the Memphis all that is required is your attendance. If you are interested in attending class in Birmingham or Southaven you must call (800) 501-1556 to register as soon as possible. Due to limited space we are only able to accept a certain number of participants at the Birmingham and Southaven Education Centers.
What types of insurance do you accept?
The Diabetes Store accepts Medicare and almost all private insurance plans. We only accept TN, MS, and AR Medicaid plans at this time. Give us a call at (901) 312-3150 or (800) 501-1556 to see if we are able to provide any assistance to you.
Do you provide any other type of services other than diabetic education and testing supplies?
Not only does The Diabetes Store provide testing supplies and free diabetic education, but we also provide diabetic shoes if you qualify. We are able to provide you with lift chairs, power vehicles, impotence pumps, and many other things. Call us today to see if we have what you are looking for.
Why should I get my supplies from you instead of my local pharmacy?
The Diabetes Store will contact you when it's time to reorder so that you will always have your supplies when you need them. We will then ship the diabetes testing supplies and prescriptions that you are requesting directly to your home. That will prevent you from having to drive to the pharmacy, stand in lines, and wait until prescription is filled.
What diabetic testing supplies do my health plan cover?
The items that most insurance companies cover are blood glucose monitors, test strips, lancets, lancing device, control solution, and batteries. Insurance plans vary so we will contact your insurance company to see what you are eligible for.
I was told I need to submit new patient paperwork. Is it possible to get that from your website?
Yes, you may find the new patient paperwork on our website by clicking this link. It is very important that you return the Patient Information Form and the Service agreement signed and dated.
Is it necessary for me to return the yellow card that you sent with my supplies?
Yes, if we are ever audited we must prove that you received the supplies that we shipped. This is one of several documents we use as a source.
